Tora conducted a site inspection for a fiberglass mat production facility in Maryland operating under the General Permit for Discharges from Stormwater Associated with Industrial Activities.
As part of the assessment, Tora:
- Completed a hazardous materials inventory
- Evaluated the facility’s operations, drainage design, and pollution prevention practices
- Prepared a comprehensive Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) that included drainage/flow diagrams and emergency response procedures
During the inspection, Tora also identified that the site’s aggregate aboveground oil storage capacity exceeded 1,320 gallons, triggering the requirement under 40 CFR §112.1(d)(2)(ii) for a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan. Tora prepared a compliant Tier I Facility SPCC Plan to fulfill this requirement as part of the project.
