Tora assisted a client by conducting in-person audits of more than 250 recently acquired upstream oil and gas assets located in three formations across Texas.
The audit scope covered the full range of the client’s air quality compliance program, including:
- Ground-truthing equipment (i.e., physically verifying equipment and configurations in the field)
- Verifying equipment capacities and operating conditions
- Interviewing operators to confirm operational practices
- Reviewing emissions calculations and permit documentation
- Confirming that site conditions matched permit representations
Tora identified and flagged all permitting or compliance gaps, inconsistencies between site conditions and permits, and opportunities for allowable production increases based on regulatory thresholds.
As a result of the findings, the client engaged Tora to update air permits for over 200 sites, improving compliance and enabling expanded operational flexibility across its Texas assets.
