Tora provided wastewater evaluation and treatment planning support to a fiberglass mat manufacturing facility after the site received a Notice of Violation (NOV) for discharging excess contaminants to the local Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW).
Tora’s support included:
- Reviewing the facility’s chemical inventory for potential contaminant sources
- Analyzing process flow diagrams and historical analytical data
- Assisting in securing a contractor to install a pilot ultrafiltration/reverse osmosis (UF/RO) treatment system
Once the pilot system was operational, Tora coordinated a weekly sampling schedule to evaluate system effectiveness, while simultaneously working with additional vendors to explore permanent treatment options suited to the facility’s needs.
