Tora prepared and submitted an air quality construction permit application for a major capacity expansion at an existing natural gas processing facility, increasing throughput from 60 million to 306 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd).
The project scope included:
- A new Nitrogen Rejection Unit (NRU) to separate inert gases from methane
- A dew point control plant to condition natural gas for downstream processing
- Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) storage and load-out infrastructure
- A hydrogen sulfide scavenging system to remove sulfur compounds
- Modifications to the existing amine treatment system (used for acid gas removal)
- Upgrades to triethylene glycol (TEG) dehydrators, which remove moisture from gas streams
To maintain the project timeline, Tora also helped the client obtain permit waivers that allowed construction to begin prior to permit issuance, enabling critical sitework to proceed ahead of the winter months.
